Q. Why use a forum? 

A. Forums provide an extremely convenient method to share info between directors and topics can be categorized for clarity.

While the use of email and the telephone are convenient they have their drawbacks.  Email exposes your address to the recipient, and it can also attract spam if the recipient’s address book is compromised by trojans or bots.  Telephone calls can often be received at an inconvenient time or result in telephone message tag.
